Opti-Probe
A CMM arm, without the arm! The Opti-Probe has the capabilities of a CMM arm but at a fraction of the cost.
So how does it work...
The Opti-Probe is a wireless hand held device with no moving parts. Attached to its upper surface are optical markers, these markers are located and tracked by the camera and the location of the device in 3D is then calculated. Please see our Movie, or data sheets OP50 & OP85 for further details.
By touching the part and pressing the trigger, 3D measurements of the part are acquired and transferred to our state-of-the-art 3D CMM software. This software allows direct comparison against all of the leading 3D file formats or reverse engineering of a 3D part into a 3D model.
Planar 3D
Winner of the MACH 2006 MetalWorking Production Awards the Planar system is the fastest, most cost effective and robust flat-sheet/sheet-metal, measurement system in the world. Our prices start at less than a third the price of lowest priced competing systems and our measurement times are more than 100 times faster.
Unlike competing systems which have expensive moving parts the Planar system has no moving parts to recalibrate or wear out and is consequently a fraction of the cost of competing systems.
Furthermore, unlike competing systems the Planar system offers 3D Line Laser and Optical Probe options which can be used to measure forms, folds, or simple machined or molded parts.
Infact in less than 5 minutes and with little training the Planar machine can be used to confirm the entire 3D shape of a folded part. Please see our 3 step process for further details. And because the system measures the component in less than 1/8th of a second it is almost impervious to vibrations and can be installed right next your punching machine.
Measurements can then be used to inspect, reverse engineer, measure a component's thickness/flatness, convert printed CAD drawings into DXF drawings, create 3D models of the component, measure bent tubes, O-rings or gaskets, and perform countless other tasks.
Accuracies range from +/-0.012 to 0.1mm, and table sizes range from 1.5m2 to 0.17m2. Please see our Benefits and Technology sections for further details.
