The Planar system is the fastest and most robust system of its kind in the world. 

Measurement images are captured in approximately 0.1 seconds. The system then uses patented technology to convert these ultra hi-resolution images into up to 30,000,000 measurements of +/- 0.1 to 0.012mm accuracy in approximately 25 seconds. 
Higher accuracies are available upon request. 
These measurements can then be used to inspect, reverse engineer, measure a component's thickness/flatness, convert printed CAD drawings into DXF drawings, create 3D models of the component, measure bent tubes, O-rings or gaskets, and perform countless other tasks. 

Unlike competing systems which have expensive moving parts the Planar system has no moving parts to recalibrate and is consequently a fraction of the cost. Furthermore, because the system measures the component in less than 1/8th of a second it is almost impervious to vibrations and can be installed right next your punching machine. 
The accuracy of our systems is guaranteed to conform to ISO10360-4, as adapted to 2D measuring systems. 

Lots of deep scratches on the glass measurement surface are inevitable when measuring sheet metal components. Competing systems are extremely sensitive to these scratches and must supply their customers with spare sheets of glass. In some systems replacement sheets can cost many thousands of Euros! The Planar system is almost impervious to scratches and dirt on its glass measurement surface and can continue to measure even when the surface is cracked. Indeed, because we use regular glass and fluorescent lights, you can drop a component right through the table and get the system up and running again for a few hundred Euro!
